Individual therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults with Aleksandra Butorovic
Aleksandra Butorovic – Clinical psychologist in Barcelona
After graduating from the University of Bordeaux with a degree in clinical psychology and integrative psychopathology, I continued my training in Montreal, which allowed me to enrich my practice through a multicultural approach and deepen my skills in individual psychotherapy. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to practice in a variety of settings, including child protection, child psychiatry, and private practice.
These experiences have enabled me to support children, teenagers and adults facing a variety of issues: anxiety and depression, behavioral disorders, psychological trauma, relationship difficulties, neurodevelopmental disorders (ASD, ADHD), and suicidal behavior. My approach is integrative, informed by the contributions of cognitive behavioral therapies, systemic therapy, and the humanistic approach.
I adapt to each person's needs, using the most relevant tools for their personal journey. For me, the therapeutic relationship is an essential pillar of my work: a space of trust, safety, and co-construction, which is a real lever for change. I offer individualized support, respectful of each person's pace, in a caring, supportive, and collaborative environment.
The first sessions (usually two or three) are an opportunity to get to know each other, understand what brings you to therapy, and explore your expectations. Together, we will define the goals of the therapy in a flexible and tailored approach. If the consultation concerns a child or adolescent, the first meeting will take place in the presence of one or both parents. parents, depending on the child's age.
Aleksandra Butorovic is a member of the Quebec Order of Psychologists.
